I did my undergrad at the University of Florida way back in 1997 and I finished up graduate school at the University of Missouri in July 2011. I worked for/with a U.S.D.A. Forest Service wildlife biologist from then until March 2013, when I began a position focused on grassland birds and science policy at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. In February 2014, I returned to Gainesville to join the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, which is the research arm of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
I have a wife, a dog, and two cats. They help with the happiness thing, though the dog likes to work both ends of the spectrum. Life is good.
